Dan Yi is a Partner at the Malaysian Office of Yusarn Audrey. She is also a registered patent, trade mark and industrial agent with the Malaysia Intellectual Property Office.
Experience / Areas of Practice
Dan Yi’s main area of practice are Intellectual Property (IP), corporate and commercial transactions. She handles the registration and prosecution of trade marks, patents, designs and copyright in Malaysia and in other jurisdictions and advises clients on disputes relating to intellectual property rights. She also advises clients on corporate and commercial transactions, including establishment of franchises, licensing, joint ventures, incorporation and sale and purchase of businesses.
Dan Yi graduated from the University of Malaya (UM) with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 2011, and was called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate & Solicitor in 2012.
Prior to joining Yusarn Audrey, Dan Yi dealt with intellectual property-related litigation involving patent, trademarks, copyright and passing-off matters. She is also experienced in banking litigation relating to commercial and contractual disputes which cover, amongst others, fraud, insolvency, hire purchase and land matters.
