Bernard graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2006 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2007.
Bernard’s main area of practice relates to the advisory and transactional aspects of intellectual property, particularly in the commercialisation of intellectual property. He advises on and drafts various types of intellectual property agreements, including franchising, patent and know-how licensing, joint ventures and assignment agreements. He also advises on general corporate law and corporate secretarial matters.
Prior to joining Yusarn Audrey, Bernard was in a large Singapore law firm where he advised various local and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and general corporate law matters. Bernard has also amassed experience in advising on the filing and prosecution of patents and trademarks, as well as on the enforcement of intellectual property rights generally.
Bernard is a member of the Law Society of Singapore and the Singapore Academy of Law.
